Southwold Kitchen Design

‘This was a hugely enjoyable project to work on. The existing kitchen looked dated and dark with not enough storage. My clients wanted to create a bright, bold and welcoming space that could cater for large dinner parties and groups of people when socialising, but as keen cooks it had to be a highly functioning working kitchen space as well. Overall they were keen to create a unique look with vintage and Victorian design elements.

I removed an unwanted exterior door and blocked up the space to create a large u-shaped kitchen with plenty of work surface area for surface gadgets and small appliances. I designed open shelving above the worksurfaces with mood lighting and two hand made solid oak glass cabinets which we also lit to highlight their vintage and eclectic crockery and glassware collections.
