The Brief
The client needed a somewhat dated bathroom updated into a wet room fit for disability use, whilst giving an overall classic look to compliment a beautiful barn conversion.About The Project
‘Functionality was key with this design as it needed to accommodate a wheelchair user.'
'A specific wet room installation kit was required to accommodate the weight of a wheelchair and I also installed a High Tec Mira shower with pre-set functionality and a remote control.'
‘I used natural travertine of the highest quality as it provides a beautiful finish that is also anti-slip.
'I preferred mosaic tiles in the shower area to create a unique transition from the main area of the room, as well as around the mirror to add a decorative element.
'In order for my design to work as effectively as it could, I created bespoke studwork to conceal the cistern and pipework. I included a semi-recessed basin and used the same travertine tiles with a removable access panel.'
'I finished off with a contrasting brilliant white worktop which worked really well with the travertine tiles.
'The completed room was a wonderful space, both practical and stylish.'

What Our Client Says
‘We are delighted with the wet room. With both of us having full time jobs it has been great not to have the worry of all the logistics – it has taken all the stress out of the project and made it fun.'
