The Brief

As part of an extensive property renovation, this part of the project involved the complete transformation of the kitchen and dining area. The existing kitchen and diner were configured awkwardly and were cramped and did not function effectively. 

About The Project

This farmhouse kitchen renovation centred around the removal of a structural wall between the original kitchen and dining room—transforming two separate spaces into one bright, open-plan layout. Structural reinforcement was key, especially in adapting a disused chimney breast to accommodate a freestanding range cooker. Significant support was installed to uphold the chimney stack while carefully removing the existing cheek walls.

About The Project

To ensure a high-quality installation, the uneven flooring throughout the space was fully levelled prior to fitting. The newly expanded space now integrates a contemporary kitchen, dining, and snug area—offering seamless flow and improved usability for everyday living and entertaining alike.

A large central island with elegant quartz worktops anchors the design, surrounded by high-specification appliances, shaker-style cabinetry, and a harmonious blend of traditional charm and modern convenience. Thoughtful spatial reconfiguration, natural light, and premium finishes come together to create a warm, functional family hub that enhances the character of the home while meeting modern lifestyle needs.
