The Brief

To design and build a colourful and elegant guest bathroom with bespoke built-in furniture. Blue was to be the key colour along with oak and the overall design must be in keeping with the period property and features.

About The Project

This project formed part of a comprehensive home renovation in Norwich, with a focus on transforming the principal bathroom. The original space was outdated and inefficient, with a layout that no longer suited the needs of modern living.

The entire bathroom was stripped back to a blank canvas, allowing for complete design freedom. To achieve the desired configuration, new underfloor plumbing was installed, removing the limitations of existing service positions. The redesigned layout introduced a dedicated shower enclosure and a striking freestanding bath, positioned as the focal point of the room to evoke a sense of luxury and relaxation.

Bespoke tongue-and-groove panelling was installed throughout, lending the space architectural depth while discreetly concealing plumbing. A custom double vanity unit with twin basins provides generous storage and allows for practical dual use without compromising on elegance.

The finished result is a calm, contemporary bathroom that balances timeless design with everyday functionality. Light oak-effect flooring, soft neutral tones, and carefully considered finishes complete this serene, inviting interior—perfectly tailored to modern family life.
