The Brief
This project was to design a guest bathroom in keeping with the traditional and classic style of the client’s beautiful period house.About The Project
‘My clients live a beautiful Georgian house so it was really important that the bathroom design was sympathetic to the rest of their home.
The bathroom was a really good size which offered plenty of freedom for creativity. The room had a lovely high ceiling and I was keen to take advantage of the natural light coming through the large window. When the existing carpets were removed the beautiful, original wooden floor was revealed.
Once it was sanded down I used a protective anti-slip oil which also prevents any future yellowing of the pine and the finished look of the floor was stunning.'
I used traditional handmade tiles with decorative blue trims in the shower and around the bath which complimented the overall soft and light colour palette I chose for the room.
The wooden paneling helped bring the whole room together but also had a practical function of concealing much of the pipework, creating a cleaner look throughout.
Decorative lights and an elegant mirror above the basin added a touch of sophistication.

larger, functions well and really maximises the natural light.’
